Why You Keep Ending Up In The Wrong Relationships — And How To Finally Break The Pattern

By Lizzie Laing | RTT Hypnotherapist and Flirt Therapist | London, Tunbridge Wells and Online

Are you single and lonely — but every time you try to date, you end up in exactly the same situation?

The situationship that goes nowhere. The person who seems perfect and then ghosts you. The relationship that starts with so much promise and slowly drains the life out of you.

You are not unlucky. You are not broken. And it is absolutely not your fault.

But there is a reason it keeps happening. And until you get to that reason — really get to it, at the root — the pattern will continue.

I know because I lived it. And I found a way out.

What Is A Toxic Relationship Pattern?

A toxic relationship is one that consistently leaves you feeling unsupported, criticised, emotionally drained or unsafe. Over time it chips away at your confidence, your self worth and your sense of who you are.

But what most people do not realise is that toxic relationships rarely happen by accident. They happen because of what we unconsciously believe we deserve.

You might recognise some of these signs:

  • Feeling like you are always the one who cares more

  • Being ghosted, breadcrumbed or kept at arm's length

  • Ending up in situationships that never become real relationships

  • Walking on eggshells around someone you love

  • Giving and giving while getting very little back

  • Feeling anxious, insecure or constantly second-guessing yourself

  • Withdrawing from friends and family to keep the peace

  • Attracting emotionally unavailable people — repeatedly

If any of these feel familiar — you are not alone. And you are in the right place.

Why Do I Keep Attracting The Wrong People?

This is the question I hear most often. And it is one of the most painful to sit with.

The answer is not about intelligence or strength. It is about the subconscious beliefs you formed earlier in life — about love, about worthiness, about what relationships are supposed to feel like.

The subconscious mind is drawn to what feels familiar. Even when familiar feels terrible.

If you grew up believing that love has to be earned, that conflict means rejection, or that you have to over-give to be wanted — you will unconsciously recreate those dynamics in every relationship. Not because you want to. Because it feels like home.

Until the root belief shifts — the pattern continues.

How RTT Breaks The Cycle

This is where Rapid Transformational Therapy changes everything.

RTT hypnotherapy does not just help you understand the pattern. It gets to where the pattern began — in the subconscious mind — and rewires it. Permanently.

Through RTT and subconscious belief work we explore:

  • Where your relationship patterns first formed

  • How early experiences shaped your beliefs about love and worthiness

  • Why certain dynamics feel so familiar — even when they hurt

  • How to update those beliefs so you can choose differently

When the root belief changes — everything changes. The people you attract. The relationships you accept. The way you show up in love.

Instead of asking "why does this keep happening to me?" — you start choosing from a place of clarity, confidence and self-respect.

What A Session Looks Like

During an RTT hypnotherapy session I guide you into a light, relaxed hypnotic state — you are always aware and always in control.

From there we go to the root of the pattern. Not the story you have been telling yourself — the real root. Where it started. Why it stuck.

We release it. We reframe it. We replace it with something that actually serves you.

You leave with a bespoke personal recording to listen to every day for 28 days — locking the new belief in at the deepest level.

And then we follow up. Because sometimes there are layers. And we peel them back together until the change is complete.

You Do Not Have To Keep Repeating The Same Story.

You deserve a relationship that feels safe. Loving. Calm. One where you are chosen, valued and adored — without having to chase, beg or shrink yourself to keep it.

That relationship is possible for you. I know because I found it. And I help women find it every day.
